Picture: Evodos Algae Paste Evodos B.V. has tested it’s algae harvesting machines in the field with the algae type Nannochloropsis Gaditana. An extensive test programme with different algae strains will be conducted at the University of Florence, Italy, under direction and with full support of Prof. Mario R. Tredici of the Department of Agricultural Biotechnology of the University of Florence and President of the European Algae Biomass Association. These tests will be executed in due course. Evodos Algae Technologies is ready to deliver its Algae Harvesting Machines to the market.
Quotes by Algae Industry Leaders “Very interesting. It seems that you are able to harvest and concentrate Nannochloropsis into a paste with dry solid content of over 30% with an energy expenditure of 2.5 MJ/kg. If this is the case it is a great achievement. Congratulations !” Prof. Mario R. Tredici, Department of Agaricultural Biotechnology, University of Florence, Italy and President European Algae Biomass Association.
"I've seen a wide range of harvesting tools and your new centrifugal technology seems excellent due to its ability to harvest small Algae with high efficiency." Mark Edwards, PhD, author of Green Algae Strategy, awarded the 2009 IPPY Best Science Book
