- About Evodos

Mission:
"It is Evodos' mission to support our customers with best in class products for mechanical separation at minimal energy consumption and without using chemicals or consumables. Thereby we aim to win or preserve natural resources."
Vision:
Evodos develops sustainability products and propositions. Examples are:
- Minimise water usage
- Renewable energy
- CO2 sequestration
- Transport reduction
- Resource winning - Separation excellence

The Evodos Spiral Plate Technology allows high separation eff ectiveness at minimal energy demand. Under laminar fl ow, the suspended particles sediment at a minimum settling distance. Th e highly eff ective separation process takes place at only 3000 G’s so on minimal energy demand. Th e solids are discharged as dry as possible with centrifugal technology since the remaining process liquid is removed from the drum before actual discharge. Th e result is high separation effi ciency combined with dry solid discharge and low energy requirements.

Evodos Type 10 shows excellent performance
read moreEvodos' newest product, The Type 10, shows an excellent performance. When processing two different algae strains (micro algae with a size of 2-10 micron) test results show that over 99% of the algae are separated at the maximum feed flow settings. This is unique in the industry.

Evodos centrifuges never need balancing
read moreEvodos designs all its centrifuges for durability and low maintenance. This also shows in the design of the rotor.
Our engineers have developed a self balancing construction of the rotor and a shaft design that gives a high stiffness. This is added with the use of carbon composites and highly accurate tolerances.
The result is a main shaft that needs no balancing. Practical experience shows that this works very well. The maintenance time is limited, and so are the associated costs.

Algae video
The harvesting process with Evodos results in a totally dewatered algae paste. This is demonstrated on multiple strains varying from the smallest salt water micro algae such as Nannochloropis to sweet water strains such as Chlorella. In all instances the result of the Evodos harvesting process is a Totally Dewatered algae paste that is over 98% free of extracellulair water.

Nothing is more exciting than sending "Murphy" home
read moreMurphy's Law states that "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong". This is a guiding principle for the Evodos engineers, make it right the first time, make it robust and make it reliable. They avoid any action with an unacceptable outcome. The results speak for themselves.

Enthusiastic customers are singing our praises
read moreMBD's managing director, Andrew Lawson said:
"No other centrifuge that we could find on the market meets the challenges of micro algae extraction from water as effectively as the Evodos machines and this is critically important in keeping the cost per weight of harvested algae to a minimum."
