The European Commission has supported three large demonstration projects on under the 7th Framework Program. These all have the objective to create energy from algae.
Evodos is partner in one of these programs; the BIOFAT program.

Evodos is selected because of its ability to harvest microalgae at a minimum of energy. Evodos contributes to a large extend in creating fuel from algae with a positive energy balance. For example with a feed concentration of 5.000 mg/liter (0,5%) the energy balance of Evodos to harvest 99% of the microalgae is below 5%.

Hart Energy is in charge of dissemination of the results of all these three projects and published an interesting article in their www.hartfuel.com magazine.
