By applying Evodos technology in existing processes substantial savings can be made on:
Chemicals
The costs of chemicals are often twofold, (1) by purchasing them, (2) because the solids that do need to be discharged are classified as more expensive chemical waste.
Consumables
The cost of consumable can be high. E.g, the capex & opex of membrane installations is for a significant part composed of consumables. There are many instances where Evodos can replace or reduce the amount of membranes needed.
Maintenance
Annual maintenance of traditional separators an decanters varies between 20 and 35% of the investment. For Evodos this is 4-8%. The difference is due to totally different mechanices that for Evodos result in almost no vibrations and a low noise level.
Transportation cost of discharged cake
With Evodos the cake is discharged a factor 3-5 more compact than compared to a traditional separator. Thus the transportation costs will be lower.
Capacity increasement of membranes and biologies
By using Evodos for preprocessing the mixture that normally enters a membrane or biology the feed out of Evodos will have a lower COD. This results in an increase in the capacity of the membrane or biology installation.
