Conventional separators and decanter centrifuges work perfectly in certain applications. However their basic technology which has remained almost unchanged since the late 1800's has severe limitations.
Evodos is a breakthrough in the centrifugal separator industry. It gives unique advantages:
Separates solids sharper
Separation efficiency is above industry standard. This is due to (1) the combination of a short distance a particle has to travel, (2) to the long delay time to do so and (3) the separation is done with a Y-flow where no counter flows do appear.
Liquid free cake discharge
Solids are discharged as dry as possible, without discharging the process liquid. This results in a cake with a dry solid content higher than industry standard.
Handles grease and abrasives
Evodos is designed to handle sticky and sharp materials. Solids that can be separated include soft solids, fines, fatty/greasy/sticky- and abrasive particles. Solids can also be non-permeable.
No Chemicals required
With the Evodos liquid/liquid/solid separation can be performed without adding chemicals or flocculants.
No balancing
Evodos machines never need balancing. The main shaft and rotor are self-balancing. This reduces the maintenance complexity, costs and associated downtime.
Energy efficient
The energy requirement is 0.95 kWh per m3 of mixture processed.
Self adjusting to changing process parameters
Evodos Self Adjusting Interface Level technology allows real time process adjustment, even on instantaneous changes in process parameters. Evodos cannot be adjusted manually. There are no gravity rings, no electronics to be set.
Compact construction, simple maintenance
Simple, compact and rugged design, leading to minimal operational cost.
No specific infrastructure
No foundation and no boltening to the floor is required. This all is due to the self-balancing framework of Evodos. Low noise level: When measured within 1 meter the noise level of Evodos in full operation is less than 80 Db.
